A should own for wrestling fans

Often times whereas i am watching an recent wrestling match (or browsing some wrestling website) I find yourself trying an recent wrestler up on Wikipedia in hopes of looking for a lot of regarding him (or her). The WWE is, apparently, hoping to capitalize with marks like me with the WWE Encyclopedia. because the name implies, this book is an encyclopedia to any or all things (well most things) that have occurred within the vast history of the WWE - wrestlers, TV shows, PPV's, title histories, etc.
The book is written in kayfabe (pretends that wrestling and therefore the personalities are "real"), thus you're not getting to get any within info as way as behind the scene stuff goes. To me, that is excellent - however be forewarned though if you're longing for serious info on the those that played these characters you're getting to be disappointed. for instance, the encyclopedia encompasses a separate entry for Kane and Dr. Isaac Yankem DDS with no mention one person played each roles (Glenn Jacobs). this can be as a result of within the WWE canon they're 2 separate individuals (one a crazy guy who is that the Undertaker's brother and therefore the alternative was an evil dentist - classic stuff) that simply happened to played by a similar person. Hence, the 2 totally different entries. I might see how this can be annoying for a few individuals though who would possibly need to grasp what the "real names" of those wrestlers are or some info regarding their real life pasts.
Really the sole drawbacks (besides the potential drawback for a few that the book is written in total kayfabe) are the omissions or errors. i have never searched each single page to seek out these problems (a few alternative reviews discuss them), however they seem to be terribly little in range when one stops to contemplate the thousands of various wrestling gimmicks that have shown up over the years. I actually would not let it stop me from buying the book as a result of TL Hopper is not profiled (there are invariably getting to be errors during this style of undertaking).
Overall, an excellent purchase for wrestling fans of all ages who need to either learn or fondly keep in mind the fun and goofy past of the WWE.
